而吃货（foodie）脑中只有一件事儿：一年一度肆无忌惮吃吃吃大会终于开始啦~

毕竟，别人是吃两口就饱了，wuli吃货是吃饱了还能吃两口…… 

作为春节美食盛宴的开局篇，大年三十的团圆饭（family reunion dinner）绝对是吃货们想着都要口水横流滴！八宝饭（eight treasures rice pudding）、糖果盘（candy tray）、年糕（niangao/rice cake）……传统春节里有哪些象征着幸福美好的特色美食？吃货们暂时放下手中的筷子勺子，一起来围观吧！

香脆可口的春卷喜迎新春

春卷是很多中国家庭新年餐桌上的必备美食，也是素食主义者们的大爱~

北方人过年爱吃啥？馒头、饺子绝对是首选，家家户户都会做很多，以求个富裕的好彩头。

In the north, steamed-wheat bread (man tou) and small meat dumplings were the preferred food. The tremendous amount of food prepared at this time was meant to symbolize abundance and wealth for the household.

刚才看到饺子表示不服的南方小伙伴们，你们的汤圆来啦~汤圆通常由白糖、玫瑰花、芝麻、豆沙、果仁和枣泥制作，因其形状圆满，在中国文化中，汤圆常寓意团圆。

Sweet dumplings are often made of white sugar, rose, sesame, sweetened bean paste, nuts and date paste. Because of their round shape, sweet dumplings are always considered a symbol of a good reunion in Chinese culture.

吃块儿年糕，年年高~

在南方，最受欢迎的大概要数年糕和粽子了，年糕寓意年年高~

In south China, the favorite and most typical dishes were nian gao, sweet steamed sticky rice（糯米）pudding and zong zi (glutinous rice wrapped up in reed leaves), another popular delicacy.

腊月二十三，糖瓜粘

糖瓜是由小米和麦芽熬制成的粘性很大的糖，为保持松脆，冬天糖瓜常置于室外。

Made of millet and malt, melon-shaped sweets are very sticky. They are often stored outside of the house to stay crisp in winter.

马上学：怎么样，是不是越看越眼馋？“看着就想吃，看着就有食欲”英文可以这样说：It looks so appetizing. 只给看，不让吃？It makes my mouth water.（我都流口水了。）如果能品尝到美味，吃货们一定会心满意足地大赞：This is really yummy! （这个真的很好吃！），或者 The meal was out of this world. （那顿饭简直没治了。）
